British energy major BP announced it is proceeding with its $5 billion Tiber-Guadalupe offshore drilling project in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. This decision signals the company’s intensified focus on its core oil and gas business in the U.S. following a strategic shift. The project is expected to begin production by 2030 and yield 80,000 barrels of crude per day.
TotalEnergies announced an agreement with Continental Resources to acquire a 49% stake in producing natural gas assets in the Anadarko Basin in Oklahoma. This acquisition will strengthen TotalEnergies’ position in the U.S. LNG value chain.
