Vaalco Energy anticipates its 2025/2026 drilling program offshore Gabon will begin in late November 2025. The start date is pending the arrival of the contracted rig, which is completing its current commitments. Program Details, Rig Contract: Vaalco secured a contract with Borr Drilling affiliate, Borr Jack-Up XIV Inc., in December 2024 for the program. The campaign will target multiple wells at both the Etame platform and the Southeast Etame North Tchibala (SEENT) platform. The program includes a combination of activities:
Drilling multiple development wells, Drilling appraisal or exploration wells, Performing workovers.
A re-drill and workovers in the Ebouri field to access reserves previously removed due to the presence of hydrogen sulfide (H2S).
The drilling campaign is designed to enhance production and add reserves, with the potential for meaningful production additions starting in 2026.
