ExxonMobil and its consortium partners have officially committed $1 billion to the Usan Infill Project offshore Nigeria. Announced by Jagir Baxi, Managing Director of ExxonMobil affiliates in Nigeria, at the NOG Energy Week Conference in Abuja, the milestone signals a significant return to the country’s deepwater drilling sector.
Investment Amount of the investment is USD 1 billion total consortium commitment.
Expected to add 40,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd) to output.
Target timeline is within 18 months.
Located in Oil Mining Lease (OML) 138, deepwater Nigeria.
Infill drilling targeting existing infrastructure around an active FPSO.
