The Stena Drilling drillship that completed its U.S. Gulf campaign and is now en route to Las Palmas before heading to Egypt is the Stena IceMAX.
The sixth-generation, dual-activity Stena IceMAX is currently in transit to Las Palmas for routine maintenance in preparation for a four-well firm drilling program in Egypt. The transit is expected to take between 18 and 21 days. The drilling campaign in Egypt is scheduled to begin in February 2026 for an undisclosed operator and is expected to last for approximately 190 days.
