Conoil Producing Limited and TotalEnergies have signed a landmark production contract in Paris, a development expected to significantly boost Nigeria’s oil and gas output. The agreement was formalized at the TotalEnergies headquarters at La Défense on Friday, November 14, 2025.
The contract was signed by Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr., Chairman of Conoil Producing, and Mr. Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and CEO of TotalEnergies. This strategic collaboration has been described as a major boost for Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, signaling a new era of upstream expansion, resource optimization, and investment inflows into the country.
