TotalEnergies has agreed to sell its non-operated interests in several mature fields in the Greater Ekofisk Area of the Norwegian North Sea. The stakes in West Ekofisk and Albuskjell are being sold to Vår Energi, while the interest in Tommeliten Gamma is going to Orlen Upstream Norway.The company announced a new partnership with German cement producer SCHWENK Zement GmbH & Co. KG for the Bifrost carbon capture and storage (CCS) project. SCHWENK will acquire a 35% stake in the project, which aims to store CO2 in the Danish North Sea starting in 2030.Reports state that TotalEnergies may suspend its oil and gas exploration projects in South Africa. The company cited “unacceptable delays” caused by repeated legal challenges and regulatory hurdles.TotalEnergies officially confirmed the appointment of Nicola Mavilla as the new Senior Vice President of Exploration, effective November 1, 2025.
